Social Justice
As Americans we are unbelievably blessed while across the globe and right in our own neighborhoods people are struggling with hardship. In many countries their citizens live without basic sanitation and human rights. They are abused and taken advantage of in ways that we have trouble even discussing. Meanwhile, in our own cities we are oblivious or turn a blind eye to the fact that many of our neighbors and friends live in distressed situations.
At The Journey we aren’t just interested in our own journey but want to help others on theirs. Below you will find links to pages supporting people locally and globally. Jesus came as a gift to us and we want to share that gift with others. Please explore the sites listed on this page and find a way to get involved.
Whose life can you change?
Mexico Missions Trip
Spend quality time with a group of special kids at an inner city and rural orphanage in Mexico. While you are there, you will provide needed help through service projects and children’s activities. Your personal gifts and talents will be a great addition to our team, so let us know what those are!
Contact the church office to find out about future trips or stop by the information desk in the west wing.
